Camtel to connect 130 secondary schools in the North to the internet
On 7 October 2026 in Yaoundé, Camtel signed two agreements. The first, with the Ministry of Secondary Education, is to connect 130 secondary schools in the Adamawa, North and Far North regions for distance learning.
The second, with the Cameroon Real Estate Corporation (SIC), plans fibre-optic internet into the future homes built by SIC.
💡 What it means for you
More connected schools and neighbourhoods mean more young people at ease with digital tools, and more customers who pay and order by phone.
